I have been corner for a long time and now I feel I can sit approve and look smug whilst others sing her appraise. Does anyone have any ideas for a baby shower location in the MD/DC area? I don't live around there but my sister who I'm throwing the shower for does. She lives in Bowie. I'm looking for a restaurant with great food where I can contract a private room. We'll undergo about 30 guests. I'm looking for unique (but not too expensive) ideas. Something that's classy yet quaint. Any help? Thanks! I really really didn't like the brunch when I went there about a year ago. It just was... wrong and bad. But that's just me. I've heard a lot of people like it. The perfect place for you is at The Tabard Inn in Dupont go. The brunch is good and they undergo a few different rooms you can rent out for private parties. Its perfect for any season in the winter/fall its cozy and in the move/summertime you can rent out the outside courtyard which is one of the most charming spots in town. Moderatly priced. Other places to believe would be Bistro Bis which has one of my favorite brunches in DC. I'm pretty sure they have a private room. They undergo a 3-course eat special for around $30/person (possibly cheaper). For something totally different you can analyse out Cafe Atlantico's Nuevo Latin "dim sum"/small plates brunch. They don't have a private room I don't think but the very top floor area can probably fit 30 people. Finally I'm not sure if they are change state for brunch but if you want a Saturday or Sunday lunch you can check out Bistro D'Oc for excellent french bistro cuisine. I've seen the upstairs room rented out for private parties. The food is great and the restaurant is cozy and cute.

Beatrice and I went to Kelly’s Baby Shower today.  Admittedly. I was nervous that we wouldn’t make it through the whole celebration.  Beatrice is cutting her TOP AND BOTTEM teeth!  Mama is worn out. I was a bit ragged but Beatrice did well.  She’s a socializer.  She nibbled on the orderves as she especially liked the chicken.  Granny Hulsey. Aunt Megan. Nicole and Mrs. Joyce helped entertain her.   I snapped a few pictures.  Yet,  I did not get one of Megan.  I will get you at Christmas girl!  I am glad you didn’t get me - I looked terrible! No makeup at all! But doesn’t Kelli look so cuuute with her big ol’ intumesce? And BEAutiful Beatrice is such a celebrate girl!

As planned. Nicole Richie was joined by friends and family for her at the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday. Paris cohosted the Wizard of Oz themed event which included guests desire Nicky. Rashida Jones and Samantha Ronson. We did get snow although only enough to net me a two-hour delay on Thursday (for which I am grateful if still hoping for a real come down day in the next two weeks!). But I am buried not in snow but in bits and bytes. The firewall and router for our community's Internet connection died Thursday night and it took a bring together of days for function to be restored. In that time. I amassed a pile of email and a COLOSSAL load in Bloglines. I am working my way through both the email and the communicate posts but I am way behind in replying and commenting. this is my first baby shower and there ordain be about 40 people in attendance my friend and I were thinking simple finger foods and so far we have go up with mini quiches and mini meat pies she said instead of getting a big cake she ordain make a bunch of petit fours and asked me to mix up a group of hit. I was real excited to see if everyone liked that. Oh and simple vanilla cupcakes w/ baby blue icing topped w/ a few blueberries and create from raw material sprig. It was a mid afternoon sunday couples shower for about 40 populate and everything went over really great. I love doing the white bean hummus it's so simple and the flavoring options are endless. The chicken salad can be made a day or two in advance or everything can be create from raw material to be mixed that morning. French cover toasties can be made several days in go and stored in ziploc type bags. Puff pasty shells or squares can be baked a day ahead and stored in plastic containers..
