we could pieces like this several times a week?again i include myself in the 'we.' but look what happens after the cindy section:But not surprising. Independent media isn't "independent" and at some point may face serious probes of their tax-free status. It's one thing to be of the left it's another to be in bed with the Democratic Party and the latter actually violates the tax-free status so many hold. Fortunately for them. Democrats currently control Congress so there will be no probe in the immediate future. (If they had any brains they'd throw a bone or two to the Green Party and independent candidates just to give the appearance that they're not an arm of the Democratic Party.)In addition to that reality the attacks on Cindy shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone paying attention in March of 2007. That's when it was obvious that the Congressional Democratic leadership was selling out the voters. And that's when Pelosi's enforcer David Obey threw an abusive and public tantrum captured on video. Instead of calling out Obey many (such as ) rushed in to defend Obey. The woman he attacked was and wasn't it cute the way she was either left undefended or attacked by our so-called 'left' media? It's really hard for people to even pretend you're 'independent' media when you rush to defend Obey and his tantrum while piling on the mother of wounded Iraq veteran Cloy Richards whose 'crime' was trying to get the medical attention her son was owed. Recapping since Monday's snapshot. Tuesday was January 1st and the glitterati of Baghdad where at the capital's two biggest hotels. "scores of perfumed and bare-headed Iraqi women" turned out for New Year's Eve. Robin Leach in the Green Zone in fact bills itself thusly: "In the world of chaos which is Baghdad there is an oasis of calm. If James Bond were to walk of the pages of a book; if Hemingway was again reporting on the world's troubles they could probably both be found relaxing over a drink at the Baghdad Country Club. So if you happen to be in central Baghdad and know a person. " But remember: "No weapons are allowed in the club. The management is happy to secure any firearms grenades flash bangs or knives in the club armory." Maybe you're in the mood for Salmon with White Wine Caper Sauce? Or Chicken Crepe Riviera? Their wine list sadly is effected by "political and meterological climate" so the oldest vintage they offer on the list is a 1982 Chateau Lafitte Rothschild. 1er Grand Cru Classe. But if you're in the mood for port they go back to 1955 with that. And just because the US is occupying the country doesn't mean that they can't offer Cuban cigars (Cohiba. Montecristo. It was left to an the 'joys' weren't all that and what it's like to take away a balloon from a child for fear that it may contain poisonous gas. On Tuesday the : "A U. S. Soldier died as a result of a non-combat related injury in the vicinity of Qayyarah Airfield West Dec. 31. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense. The incident is under investigation." Among the Tuesday violence. a Baghdad bombing at "a funeral" that claimed 30 lives and left thrity-eight wounded. And in political news. the 20008 GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney declared "the Bush administration mismanged the Iraq war distancing himself from his party's unpopular president two days before Iowa's first-in-the-nation presidential contest." Sadly among the GOP that does count as 'brave.' Future distancing may include GOP candidates noting that education is actually good for people and that a person's health improves when they have a roof over their head. Bit by bit they may make it up to the 20th century before the 21st ends. Back to Tuesday's Baghdad bombing at the funeral. "the most brazen and deadly attack in the capital in months. The force of the blast scattered severed arms and legs about the site of the attack a house where scores of friends and relatives had gathered to pay tribute to a man killed three days earlier by a car bomb in Tayaran Square in central Baghdad." on Adil Ahmed (chemistry professor) responding to the fire as "mourner were screaming with grief and rage and many others were scattered on the ground dead or dying. The chemistry professore recalled bending down to one man who had saliva running down his ching. He pumped his chest and breathed into his mouth again and again in a vain attempt to save him. He ran to other less seriously injured men and helped drag or carry them to cars waiting to rush them to the hospital. He noticed that some of the dead were still sitting upright in the burning tent on their plastic chairs. After an hour of this his clothes were messy with blood." the dead at 30 and the wounded at thirty-two. today the death toll is now 34 from the funeral bombing. And the violence continued today. . Bombings? a Baghdad explosion that injured five people and a woman exploded herself (via a bomb filled vest) in Baquba resulting in dead and wounded. the death toll from the Baquba bombing has climbed to 10 and that "The attack came a day after a bomber detonated his explosive vest in a tent crowded with mourners at a Baghdad funeral." it is "the latest in a string of suicide bombings that has seen a major strike nearly every day of the past week despite an overall decline in violence. The woman blew herself up with an explosive vest at a checkpoint of neighborhood patrol volunteers in Baquba capital of the restive Diyala province. Twenty-eight people were wounded including some women police said." . "Most of the casualties are said to be members of a local volunteer force opposed to al-Qaeda. Another 15 people were wounded in the explosion." The "Awakening" councils which are "paid by U. S forces and are now springing up throughout Sunni Arab areas with U. S funding and support." And the declaring that "the suicide bomber was in fact a male". Shootings? 2 civilians wounded by unknown assailants firing in Basra. a home invasion outside Kut in which two brothers were shot dead. Corpses? 3 corpses discovered in Baghdad.. "U. S forces said they had accidentally killed a woman when they fired a missile from a helicopter at a group planting a bomb on Tuesday evening in the northern city of Mosul. 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad. The missile missed its target and struck a nearby building the U. S military said." Meanwhile. 133 "women were killed last year in Basra either by religious vigilantes or as a result of so-called 'honor' killings" according to the Basra Security Committee which said 79 were assassinated for "violating Islamic teachings," while 47 were assassinated via "'honor' killings". Assassinated? Yes. I'm using that term. This is the feminicide that's been ongoing in Iraq. There women were assassinated as part of a war against women. For more on the topic you can see Bay Fang's "" (Ms magazine spring 2007 issue) and."And I said. 'Look maybe something good will come from this Vietnam tragedy. It's such an obvious blunder we'll never go down that road again. So maybe it will save us from repeating this on an even more costly scale.' And of course now I don't know what to tell my daughters," so. It's a point that escapes many including who shows up in this morning's New York Times with a write up of an interview with. The article's 'value' includes: (a) noting that Sunday in Iowa. Edwards hadn't planned to speak about Iraq but people attending the events brought it up and (b) revealing just how much Gordo hates women. On the front page of the paper he takes a paragraph to paint Elizabeth Edwards as 'intruding' at the end of the interview to note he didn't ask John Edwards about one point and because she's such a brazen hussy in his mind he uses another paragraph on A12 to return to the same point. The and anyone reading it will quickly see. Elizabeth Edwards spoke twice (one sentence the first time to raise the point Gordo had ignored -- Iraqi forces could be trained outside of Iraq under John Edwards' plan; two sentences to remind Gordo who was gaping at her as John Edwards discussed this part of his plan that her husband was one the speaking). The transcript is always a must with Gordo who is a very 'creative' type of reporter. John Edwards tells Gordo. "My own judgment is let's assume for a minute that come January 2009 we still have a significant troop presence in Iraq which I think is likely. If that is the case then I think another nine to ten months of American troop involvement and expenditure of taxpayer money with an intense effort to resolve the political conflict and intense diplomacy then at that point America has done what it can do." What Edwards proposes in the interview is troops start coming home and trainers are not keep in Iraq because he feels it fuels dependency on those being trained and keeping them there requires keeping more US forces there. That's why Elizabeth Edwards was correct to note that Gordo had gone through the entire (long) interview without asking about that point. Gordo misses that point and misses most of the points. He has no concept of the remarks or experience George McGovern speaks of when he's relating the horror of Vietnam to the horror of today. He does attempt to play concerned about Iraqis -- he uses them to hide behind his desire for the illegal war to continue. The obvious response to Gordo's "What if?" is that no one knows and Edwards does get into that noting he's not going to respond to a hypothetical. As John Edwards explains his plan to Gordo the bulk of troops would begin moving out of Iraq within nine months of Edwards being sworn in. Gordo doesn't ask many questions at all (read the transcript he's more interested in attempting to badger and browbeat) so the issue of the US Embassy in Iraq is not touched on. (However all US embassies around the world have military support stationed with them.) On the issue of citizens bringing up Iraq to Edwards on Sunday. of "likely Democratic caucus participants" on issues (scroll down almost mid-way and it's on the left) which finds "War in Iraq" the number one issue (28%) with health care the next largest issue (22%). For all the media-created drama since last week. "terrorism" was cited by only two-percent. December 23rd. PBS' and noted of one gas bag: "Gloria Borger is just a dope period. After we got over the shock of her face (and a new hairstyle and color) we were left with the same old Gloria pushing water cooler spin off as fact. We watched in wonder as she lied and proclaimed (prefaced with the weasel words 'I think') 'the big issue on both sides is immigration.' 'We think' she's got too many miles on her to think anyone sees her as young and fresh despite all the work done." and "immigration." For the record. to only 2% of likely Democratic cacus participants. Edwards in the interview with Gordo (transcript) notes that there is no progress in the political situation in Iraq. As an Iraqi correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers observes at Inside Iraq why should there be:We have 275 members who suppose to represent the Iraqi people in their demands and suffering. On the contrary they have the highest salaries in Iraq or in the world with the incredible privilege they have from houses and mansions cars body guards real states free tickets to go abroad and above all their space of freedom to go wherever they want to go without taking any kind of permission or telling the government that they go to this place or that one. They are really careless of the Iraqi people's demands and needs. If we came back to 2006 and 2007 to find out what achievements did the parliament do we would find nothing. I tried to call some prominent members to have a bit of information of their achievements during the last 20 months of their work in the parliament within Al-Maliki government. I got none of them …really none of them. They suppose to represent Iraqis but they are not even trouble themselves to answer the phones as they are either switched off or out of the coverage area. Yes they are because most of them are not in Iraq spending their time with their families who settle in London. Amman. Dubai. Cairo and Doha or they want to enjoy their time away of their families in Beirut. Paris. Damascus or RomeThe correspondent goes on to note Ayad Allawi resides in London. Adnan Al-Duleimi wasn't reachable and is apparently in Jordan. Ibrahim Al-Jafrai is in London and Rose Shawis is traveling "abroad". All four men (Rose is a man) are apparently out of the country. Summering?

Partagas and more). (The country club is inside the Green Zone for any who didn't already get that.) on it last April and noted it opened in October of 2006. Summering?

"HARDY, Ron - Baby, Baby Baby, Aw Shucks" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-05 02:09:54

99) Buraka Som Sistema - Yah! // ModularBumping bass wonky synths and an urgent female rap are the simple ingredients to this lo-fi afro-techno call to the dancefloor. If this doesn't get the ladies going at peak time just give up! The B1 isn't much cop but B2 'Coozi O Mambo' is another cracker with its deep chords providing the foil for a frenetic machine gun bassline that'll get those booties wiggling. Samples: 98) Thumbs Aloft - Bedmo Disco Volume 1 // Pointless EditsYes this does come from some of our Best Before: cohorts but all three tracks undergo been mini-anthems down at The Bank where we do our more disco-centric parties. 'Stick Around' is an extended edit of Macca's 'Coming Up' which does justice to the song unlike Linus Loves' abhorrent version while b-sides 'TK Max' (funked up dub dance) and 'Pedalo Disco' (err. remember the England vs. West Indies cricket music?) round things off extremely nicely. The forthcoming EP is even exceed so look out for that early in '08. Samples:97) Szenario - Exszenaration EP // LeftroomRaudive saves his best production of the year for Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom label a pulsing bass throbber that pops and clicks over a mad stretched out chant that makes it appear more like a moan in fitting with Ho's moniker. Sample:96) Lovebirds - Modern Stalking EP // Winding Road4 tracks of lazily deep disco-house my favourites being the Metro Area-ish 'Can't Get Along' and the looped up deep disco of 'Behind You'. Fans of Theo Parrish and Moodymann should check the latter especially. Samples:95) Onur Ozer - Red Cabaret EP // VakantSolid EP here - three tracks of paranoia inducing minimal techno my favourite being 'Allegro Energetico' with its looped sax and whip-cracking snares. Samples:94) Samuel L Session - Remixes Pt 01 // Klap KlapTwo remixes each of two of his tracks from last year's 'Easy Walker' 12" and all of them are excellent. Choice picks are the second remixes of both tracks the chugging reductionist house of 'Smokestack' and the loopily boompty 'The Stick Up'. Samples:93) Battles - Atlas (Original & DJ Koze Mixes) // WarpPuffin didn't really like this remix from DJ Koze at all but I really dug its soulful techno lullaby vibe. The original's undeniably one of the highlights of their 'Mirrored' LP and takes math-rock to the dancefloor in style. Samples:92) Beard Science - Razor Sharp Edits #1 // Beard ScienceSolid edits 12" from the mysterious men with the best facial hair in town. Personal favourites of mine are T. Tauri's dreamy kraut-disco on 'Ark Raiders' and the of Oswego's string-led vocal pumper 'Martian Mirrorball'. Samples:91) Vincent Markowski - The Madness Of Moths / False Flag // DCSomething a little bit different for DC here two hard hitting electro-disco cuts for both the heads and the nu-ravers. Both sides are bona fide belters. 'The Madness Of Moths' on a Syclops tip and 'False Flags' with its low slung slow-house vibe. Samples:90) Jichael Mackson - ... Wasn't Me // Musique RisqueeMackson flips dub techno on its continue with the Chris Isaak sampling 'The Grass Is Always Greener' and the inclusion of his remix of Pastamusik from 2003 will gratify DJs of a wonkier persuasion. Samples:89) Unknown Artist - Ugandan Speed Trials // DownwardsFuck knows who's behind this but this is incredible. Two tracks of swinging hard techno with impeccably clinical production. If you're a fan of T++ and that sort of reduced Hardwax gear you should definitely pick this up.88) Claude VonStroke - Who's Afraid Of Detriot (Deepchord & Soultek Mixes) // EchospaceIf there was one track that didn't need any more remixes it'd be 'Who's Afraid Of Detroit'. Thankfully. Deepchord strip things approve to their usual breathy throb and Soultek jacks it up for the floor with spacey chords bleeps aplenty and a punishing bassline. Samples:87) Pepe Bradock - Rhapsody in hurt // AtavismeThe craziness of the original may have scared a few people off (actually it might just undergo been the screaming) and whilst it 84) Pan Pot - Charly // MobileeThis one's a fucked up cokehead baiting mongathon. That's a good thing by the way. Sample:83) Marc Ashken - Two Left Feet EP // LeftroomMarc Houle's moody bass guitar-driven remix of 'Nimrod' is pretty nice but full marks to Ashken on 'Roots Dyed Dark' for making the most twisted series of breakdowns in techno this year. Everything slows down to almost a complete halt whips back up to breakneck speed and then drops into a series of crazy sections whilst never losing sight of the surprise. A peak time only record maybe but a great one at that. Samples: 82) V/A - Tronic Jams Vol. 1 // Deeply Rooted HouseThe Argy and Wipe The Needle cuts on this are fairly functional but it's Prof Delacroix that really shines through bringing together subtle Dial-esque tones with a beat reeks of Chicago house at it's finest. Marcus Enochson's 'Awa' is the other brilliant contribution which sounds like what'd happen if you put Kerri Chandler. Luciano and Morgan Geist in a room together and told them to make something special. Now if that isn't recommendation enough... Samples:81) Alex Under - Gris // CMYKWhat I said then... "Alex Under's no stranger to using weird samples from movies and TV (one of his best works his remix of Random Play's 'Just desire That' features samples from Requiem For A Dream) and for his latest release on his own CMYK denominate he's sampled the stoned gay hippy from Family Guy. On paper it shouldn't bring home the bacon at all but the lines that he's taken ('I'm gonna eat that hairy leg'. 'I did have a chubby kid on the raft earlier today etc.) give the relentless bass riff and plinky melody that extra surreal edge."Samples: 80) John Daly - Freak Out Or Get Out EP // WaveKiller release on Wave for Irishman Daly. 'Do It' is a deep disco-house shuffler with attitude whilst the other two tracks are sundrenched anthems that got a lot of play round my gaff during our short English summer this year. Samples:79) Sascha come down - The Basic Collective EP (move 1 of 3) // Deep VibesTwo slower cuts for both the stoners ('Bdown Variation 7') and the smackheads ('Samuel Davis Export I') are to be open on the A-side but things get even better when you turn it over. Go for 'desire Way' if you want something deep and wonky but my favourite from the four is hypno-boompty anthem 'Deep In Rhythm'. That's a seriously nice groove right there... Samples:78) Serafin & Roman Bruderer - Dream Sequence // Mountain PeopleI'm not much for the B-side of this one but the A-side is bumpin' tracky house goodness that's impossible to stay still to. Sample: 76) Bodycode - A Document Of An American Past // YoreThis is probably going to sound a little bit homoerotic but one of my favourite dancefloor moments was watching Bodycode making his laptop set a little more pumping by working a towel behind his shoulders like he's some sort of male stripper. 'Body To Body' is. I'm sure what's going on in his head when he's getting drink in the dark rooms of Berghain (ie ultra sexy boompty techno) and 'The displace Of Time' well just sounds like you'd imagine Berghain to. Proper techno from the coolest Alan in the scene. Samples: skipping beat and the Black Art Music track is just fucking sexy! This is what plays in Kenny Dixon's head when he's getting it on... Samples:73) Mark E - R&B Drunkie // Golf Channel'I feel like pumping to some old school...' Indeed. Mark E creates yet another dub disco classic this time from Janet Jackson's 'R&B Junkie'. Bouncing groove incredible bassline great vocal - be dancefloor winner. Sample:72) Burial - go Hardware EP // HyperdubThe hectic percussion of 'Shutta' is a little too much for me but the spectral garage of 'Ghost Hardware' and dubbed out 'Exit Wounds' are right up my alley. Samples:71) Hatchback - White Diamond (Prins Thomas Diskomiks) // ThisisnotanexitDreamy 17 minute kraut-disco epic from the Nordic royal. Essential post club listening this. Sample: 70) October - Three Drops/Homosapiens // CaravanYes he's our mate but if you've actually heard this preserve already. I don't think you'll be complaining about its inclusion in the 100. 'Three Drops' is the Ronseal of this year's techno releases - it does exactly what it says on the tin. What always struck me about Jules' first forays into techno production is his attention to detail on the beats. Unwilling to keep the same patterns looping over and over his broken beat pedigree shines through as beats reappear and disappear all whilst the melody provides a counter rhythm that locks in perfectly. Add some analogue synth washes that sound simply incredible on a big system but those drops... Cracking. 'Homosapiens' aims much deeper pulsing along on a dubbed out vibe before rolling over into some synth and bass embellishments a couple of times. Annoyingly the pop'n'click classic that is 'There's A Glitch In My Soup' only featured on the digital release but I'm sure I'll persuade Jules into whacking it onto wax in '08. Caravan then - more fun than a wet weekend in Wales and with upcoming releases from October. Emptyset and TG next year looks to be theirs already. Samples: 69) Ron Hardy - Baby. Baby Baby. Aw Shucks // PartehardyAs far as I'm aware these releases are edits that have been put together in a Ron Hardy style and not actually done by the big man himself but this one of First Choice's 'Let No Man Put Assunder' its absolutely stonking. The alter loops and loops itself around your brain until you can't help but get into the irresistable groove bringing things up slowly but surely with subtle progressions before ending with (an incredibly functional) "it's not over" stop-start section. The b-side's a bit naff but it's worth picking up for the corker of an A. Sample: 68) Smith & Mudd - Shulme // Claremont 56This one isn't for the dancefloor but is the perfect soundtrack to the the early morning when the teas have been made and the spliffs are going round. As the gorgeous rhythm section rolls on guitars duel and chime celestial synths provide aural valium and for a few apprise minutes you'll know it's been a bloody good night. Look out for their album that's coming on Mudd's Claremont 56 label in 2008. Sample:67) cv313 - Dimensional Space // EchospaceTwo cuts of sublimely deep skanking dub techno from the mysterious cv313. There are still a few of these at normal determine over at Discogs so get them before the prices start getting silly. Samples: 66) Aeroplane - Caramellas // EskimoWas 2007 the year the piano came back with a vengeance? With Noze. Still Going and Peverelist all putting out classic piano based tracks. I'm definitely not complaining. Aeroplane's inspect in inform. 'Caramellas' is a bumping slow jam with one of the most euphoric sunrise synth riffs I've heard in a while and one that the clever DJs will be saving for those Sonar beach parties next year. Sample: 65) Tony Allen - Kilode (Carl Craig Remixes) // Honest Jon'sIt's always nice to hear Carl Craig doing something a little bit different and these two remixes are a perfect example of that. The 'Straight' mix is top notch warm up fare which really emphasises the brilliant bassline and percussion but the other mix is a shuffling strung out builder with some incredible synth stabs that'll work the housier floors. Samples: 62) Baby Oliver - Primetime (Uptown Express) // EnvironI've got quite a bit of play out of this supposed Morgan Geist production this year. Ideal for when you're bringing things up from slower tempos. 'Primetime' boasts a bassline to die for along with a strange stabbing synth/vocoder line and putting the cherry on the cake are the cheeky lyrics about 'getting on the train and never feeling pain again' (if this isn't about getting as high as a kite don't spoil it for me!). B-side 'Hypochondriac' is beautifully produced but didn't really do much for me personally. Never mind that - it's worth the entry price for the A-side alone. Sample: 61) attach Farina - approve To The House EP // OmWhat I said then... "The 'GLA mix' is my preferred version - an incredibly simple track made up of a spoken evince vocal eulogising about bringing house music back backed with a boompty bassline and a jacking go track. There's also a mix with just the drums and vocals for the more adventurous DJ and a more melodic version for people who want to keep things a little more groovy. A classic bring up track for '07 - get yourselves on it."Samples: 60) DJ Koze - All The Time / Cicely // PhilpotTwo absolute belters from Mr Kozalla that show the dichotomy of his DJ Koze persona perfectly. 'All The Time' wonks it up so much that it seems to be permanently imploding and 'Cicely' is blissed out micro-house at its finest. Samples:59) V/A - Death Is Nothing To Fear #1 // SpectralI wasn't too big on most of Matthew Dear's Audion productions this year but the stridently psychedelic 'I Gave You Away' presses all the right buttons for me. Bodycode's contribution is also well worth a listen with its eerie keys and jacking defeat. Samples:58) Omar S feat. Theo Parrish - The Grand Son Of Detriot Techno! // FXHEHypnotic acid-laced Detroit house that'll move its way right into your brain. It's ever so simple but keeps getting exceed and better as it goes along drawing you further into the murky groove. Get your heads down for Detroit!Sample: 56) Kassem Mosse - Workshop003 // WorkshopWorkshop continued their faultless record of releases with this little beauty. The A takes some skittering old-school electro beats and marries them to a backing which is foreboding yet funked up and then ends with a 3 minute ambient process which provides the perfect mixing drive for some additional atmospherics or even an abrupt tempo change. Speaking of tempo changes the pace drops drink for the B-side cuts and B1 in particular is suited to a particularly messy after hours with its cavernous echo effects and bumping nocturnal groove. Samples: 55) Mountain People DJs - Mountain People 005 // Mountain PeopleWhat I said then... "No surprises here - Mountain People come out with yet another cracking twelve advance. No idea who the producers are on this one (I'm guessing that label founders Serafin & André Schmid provide a side each) but you've got a tracky roller on the A broken up intermittently by a sustained spaced out play and a chunkier bring in on the B which is on more of a skippy deep house tip."Samples: 54) Kadebostan - Caracas Soul EP // Freude Am TanzenKadebostan's downbeat ethnic techno really grabbed my ear this year and even though they only released these three tracks all of them were stupendous. Eerie affected strings drone over minimalist percussion on the title track whilst a detached yearning female vocal appears only to go down into the mix seconds later. 'Back To My First Heroes' is similar but on a more slower reduced tip but it's the B2. 'Spirit Soldiers' that really seals the deal. Both ominous and reflective in equal measures it's hardly arrive at time fare but will definitely get a discerning afterhours crowd grooving along. Samples: 51) Partial Arts - Trauermusik // KompaktCome end of year list time many forgot about this little beauty released right at the start of January by Ewan Pearson and Al Usher's Partial Arts project. A ameliorate end of the night record marrying delicate strung out chords with a boompty bassline and intertwining celestial synths that'll get people smiling as they get the club. Sample: 49) Optimo - Walkabout Sampler // Endless FlightI'm sure that a lot of techno fans have overlooked this 12" from Optimo's 'Walkabout' mix but you should definitely choose one up if you see it kicking around. Wolfgang Voigt's 'Grungerman' from 1995 gets a timely re-release (50 euros for the original? I evaluate not) and there are two edits from the Optimo lads. Wilkes takes on the bubbling bass'n'bleeps of Pan Sonic's 'Hapatus' and Wilkes twists obscure Italian techno act Databrain into a pumping dancefloor weapon. Samples: 45) Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts - Petits Djinns EP // Circus CompanyWhat I said then... "The A-side 'Sous D'Arbre' holds a lovely tribal groove before an idiosyncratic synth lie and submerged vocal peep through the mix picking things up nicely. The end of the track sees him indulge his wonky jazz tendencies with a looped sax sample and some wooshing noises to pick up the straggling dancers. The b-side cuts are a little more downbeat with 'Yone' going for a tropical cyclical vibe and again utilising the sax here and there whilst 'Chilly Willy' has more of a Moodymann with brass bind in carnival mode thing going on."Samples: 44) Kelley Polar - Chrysanthemum EP // EnvironI was desperately waiting for the release of Kelley's 'I Need You to Hold On While The Sky is Falling' LP all this year as I fell head over heels in love with his previous album on adjoin. I've got a lot of respect for this man's quality control (his early EPs are all fantastic as come up) and he shows no sign of dipping in create with yet more sumptious efforts on this 12". Wistfully bleak visions of the future collide with romantic sentiment on 'Chrysanthemum' while 'Rosenband' keeps things a little more upbeat with its boompty disco groove and dramatic arrangement. The mysterious Magic Tim (Sweeney or Goldsworthy possibly?) also supplies an building instrumental remix that's a little more geared to late night club shenanigans which tops off an incredible 12" from the label that in my eyes was definitely the most consistent quality wise this year. Samples: 43) Donnacha Costello - Black Bag Job // MinimiseIf you were to accuse Donnacha of being a bit lazy this year you'd probably be right. So he does six tracks in six days measure year and then this year we get one remix (which would be great if only it didn't remind me of that fucking Crazy Frog tune) and one original composition. What the hell does he do with the be of his measure? I hope you're working on something a new LP. Mr Costello because teasing us with tracks this good just won't do. 'Black Bag Job' is an irresistable cut of ameliorate percussion and classic melody as only DC can do. Sample: 41) Kerri Chandler - Computer Games EP // Deeply Rooted HouseThis EP from much earlier in the year saw Kerri go for a more resolutely electronic appear whilst comfort keeping his trademark jacking deepness. All four tracks reek of quality from the bubbling acidity of 'The Invaders (The Panic)' through to the rolling stab-a-thon of 'Moon Bounce'. Honestly. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite. Essential gear for the house heads out there - but you knew that already didn't you?Samples: 40) 2000 & One/Len Faki - Work/Odyssee I // PodiumI've always got time for a bit of 2000 & One but this offering for Faki's Podium imprint really knocked my socks off the first measure I heard it. Taking a snippet of the vocal from Steve Poindexter's 'bring home the bacon That Motherfucker' he places it over a boompty melodic house cut which is sure to do serious damage if you tweak the bass at the right places. The Faki cut also took me by affect as it's (act I say it) a little more electro-housey than I've heard from his other stuff. Starting as a grooving deep techno cut steadily picks up layer by layer before unleashing an uber-trancy breakdown that powers into some buzzsaw acid action. 'bring home the bacon' is the one you'll be picking this up for however - top quality bounce for the surprise. Samples: 39) Tiger Stripes / Solomun - Hooked / Jungle River Cruise // Liebe*DetailTwo housier cuts than usual on this L*D split and both would've been worthy 12"s on their own. Solomun contributes an skippy ethnically infused deep house track with a subtle tracey melody but Tiger Stripes takes the biscuit with the relentlessly charging 'Hooked'. Deep stabs displace proceedings throughout while the delicate plinky melody dances a little jig in your cerebrum. Samples: 38) Escort - A Bright New Life // Escort'We're the last standing dance band' sang Captain Comatose a few years back but you can't help evaluate that their lyrical whimsy applies to Escort much more. 'A Bright New Life' was the better of their two offerings this year a chugging euphoric stormer that really works on the floor. Morgan Geist supplies a more relaxed instrumental remix but it's all about the vocal for me (albeit pitched up slightly in ze club). Samples: 35) Beck - Cell Phone's Dead (Ricardo Villalobos Entlebuch Remix) // Bpitch ControlThis year saw Ricky V move Beck's original into a 15 minute hip-horse-house anthem as only he can and the results were magical. The oddball spoken vocal fits perfectly with the clip-clop beats and eerie harmonies and when that bassline drops halfway through you can be sure that things will kick up a gear on the floor. consume: 34) Baby Oliver - Feelings 2 / Shot Caller // EnvironNo duff tracks on this one. Baby Oliver's second twelve of the year. 'Feelings 2' is a surging electronic disco workout featuring an unknown vocalist that resembles the Junior Boys' Jeremy Greenspan quite a bit which would make a lot of sense seeing as I've heard on the grapevine that Morgan Geist has a beat vocal LP planned with Mr Greenspan... 'Shot Caller' is probably the jewel in the crown of the four Baby Oliver tracks a slamming slo-mo reductionist disco banger for the late night freaks. Samples: 33) Gatto Fritto - Invisible College // DissidentEasily the beat record from Dissident this year (some of those samples sounded rubbish didn't they?). 'Invisible College' unfolds beautifully over its twelve minute duration and doesn't outsay its welcome for a back up. Head noddingly epic cosmic dance that's begging for a re-release. Sample:32) Junior Boys - Like A Child/manifold Shadow (Carl Craig & Kode 9 Mixes) // DominoEveryone always bangs on about the Carl Craig remix which is bloody fantastic (and probably the best thing he's done this year) but Kode 9's mix on the flipside definitely shouldn't be ignored. A killer steppin' rhythm surrounded in aquatic delayed guitar and cheap keyboard sounds that is essential listening dubstep fan or not. 28) The Emperor forge - Vertical Tones & Horizontal Noise Part 5 // DCMy favourite in ex-Bizarre Inc member Andy Meecham's six part series this twelve has served me well this year. 'Labocatocs' struts and skanks along its spaced out incise but B-side 'Rimramramrim' (which is always amusing when people come up and ask what it is) is a pure dancefloor killer. Opening beatlessly with a multitude of throbbing synths (which is quite handy as a mixing tool and also to mix out of really slow records - hello Frank Hebly!) it quickly picks up into a nagging disco incise and lets those synths battle it out for our aural pleasure. Samples:The Emperor Machine - Rimramramrim (Ava's Uninterrupted Version) // DC 27) Citizen Kane - Kane's Spanish Home // MotonWhat I said then... "There's nothing more annoying than buying a preserve only for it to go missing somewhere along the way. This is especially adjust when you suffer it less than a week after first buying it which is exactly what happened with my copy of the latest Moton 12". Of cover. I had to buy it again meaning that I've spent £14 on a track but with this one it's definitely worth it. I first heard this when Dennis Kane dropped it on Metro Area's Beats In Space show and it just stood out as something with a totally different vibe to the glut of edits coming out over the last couple of years. Based on a track from the Kill Bill soundtrack it's a stomping disco beat backed by a rousing spanish guitar/brass combo but the arrangement is something incredibly special. Check the way it drops down to the plucked acoustic guitar and strings only to snap-clap its way back into action and kick into the rolling strum."Sample: 24) Lee Douglas - New York Story/Ravm // RongTwo electronic disco corkers from Mr Doug Lee that seem unrealistically polished for only his second self-produced channel. He's gotta be cheating right? Here we've got a bubbling cowbell'n'bass monster (the ridiculously titled 'Ravm') and the euphorically funereal (yes you read that alter) 'New York Story' that'll get the hearts and feet of disco lovers going in the wee hours. 23) Robag Wruhme als Rolf Oksen - Bart Eins EP // Freude Am TanzenWhat I said then... "The always on point FAT camp (see what I did there?) have provided my biggest floor shaker of the year with yet another masterstroke from the guy with the weirdest label in techno. Maybe it's just because I'm based in Bristol but when this bassline hits everyone goes fucking apeshit (and yes that includes me!). Feel the wobble..."Sample: 22) Westpark Unit - Jeepah // FarsideThree solid tracks of electronic deepness from Westpark Unit. A-side 'Jeepah' has the most dancefloor pump with heavy disco drums and understated bumpin' bass before dreamy synths enter and take things to the next level. The b-side cuts are just as good if not better but take a more dubwise direction. In particular. B2 cut 'Blaxrotation Suite Mix' provides a natural sounding progression if you're trying to pick things up from an ambient dub techno vibe to a more tribal percussive sound. Samples: 21) Hercules & Love Affair - Classique #2/Roar // DFATwo brilliantly atmospheric modern accommodate cuts from Andy Butler's new project on DFA. 'Classique #2' holds you in suspense with its perfectly produced minimal percussion and sharp acid line and 'Roar' is a low slung seductively bumping groover that'll go drink just as come up later on in the night as it will when things are just warming up. I undergo it on good authority that their forthcoming album (or the sampler of it at least) is absolutely mindblowing so keep a look out for that one. 20) Efdemin/Carsten Jost - Just A Track/Love // DialThe first time I heard Efdemin's 'Just A Track'. I just had to keep playing it over and over. Beautifully structured techno that manages to be deep and jacking at the same time. What it also jacks is the acapella to Roland Clark's 'Presidents House' but that's another matter entirely. Carsten Jost takes things deeper still with 'Love' a sumptious hypno-houser soaked in trademark Dial melodies and rattling hats. Two classics by two class acts. Samples: 19) Skatebard - Marimba // SupersoulSupersoul really impressed me this year with their electronic dance meanderings and Skatebard's 'Marimba' is probably the prime example of what makes this label so special. Pitched right down at 113 bpm it's crawling speed really accentuates the spaciousness and misty Basic Channel-esque chords while the trebly percussion rattles on desire the drum forge's been switched to the 'Lunar Tropicalia' setting. Flip over to 'Pagans' and it's like Carl Craig trying to cover an old italo dub with its beefy wobbling bass arpeggio and delayed synths projecting to the stars. 'Marimba' though fuck... What a record!Samples: 18) Move D - Workshop002 // WorkshopPuffin Jack commented on this record earlier this year by saying 'it's like Moodymann after a couple of gurners' and he's right on the money. Lovely cram. Beards who desire disco will also enjoy the B2 a much slower brooding electronic disco be. They might undergo only had two releases but it's been a good year for Workshop and I hope that we hear much more from them in '08. Samples: 17) Syncom Data - Beyond The Stars // SDI evaluate this is probably the first and only time I'll ever say this but on this channel the best track is the 'Beats' version! Thundering beats accompany fantastically snaking mindfuck synths and when the bassline and snapclaps enter the dancefloor will be going wild. The 'Dub' (which confusingly has a full vocal) sounds like a cheap Rhythm & Sound record (though it sounds much exceed than I'm making out!) and the 'Beatless' (which has beats!) version provides a wonky synth for more adventurous DJs to freak everyone out with. Samples: 16) Frivolous - Midnight Black Indulgence EP // ~scapeWhat I said then... "This has been at the front of my box all year; 'Sooo understand...' is a great boompty call to arms against the wall hugging hipsters but 'Goodbye Regrets' is my favourite. It's got a fantastic tropical-trance melody line before this amazing bassline kicks in - I definitely see this EP riding up high in the 100..."Samples: 15) Appleblim & Shackleton - Soundboy's Ashes Get Chopped Out & Snorted // Skull DiscoFor once Appleblim manages to better Shackleton with 'Vansan' a strung out stepper with cavernous stabs and an incredible beatless breakdown. There's a definite Basic bring influence there but when has that ever been a bad thing? As usual it's tribal ethnic wonk from Shackleton on 'She Brings Me Down' which is quite light percussively but has a definite swing to it and a heavy bassline to top things off. Samples: 14) Mogg & Naudascher - Moon Unit (Parts 1 & 2) // SupersoulFledgling denominate Supersoul have only been round since August '06 and already they've knocked out a selection of essential releases. The first to come from their roster this year is Paul Mogg and (ex-Terranova member) Xaver Naudascher's 'Moon Unit' collaboration. Split into two parts the first is a more upbeat surging italo take on the label's electronic disco sound which'll send the right dancefloors into the stratosphere its synth attack but the second goes for a more spacious approach that really floats my ride. Low slung bass stabs accompany an arpeggio face off with ever increasing intensity and those snap claps just undergo to be heard. I've had a apprise listen to parts three and four and unfortunately they appear pretty naff which is a compel. Never mind - get this instead. Samples: 12) Metro Area - #7 // EnvironWhat I said then... "There were always going to be high expectations for this and Darshan and Morgan definitely don't baffle. A-side 'Read My Mind' is the first ever MA bring in to feature a vocal and is a dreamy disco-pop voyage wrapped in sultry strings and staccato synths. Some may find it a little well.. gay for their tastes but it's my favourite of the bunch. A short dub version is also provided (thankfully at the same speed so you're able to mix the dub version over the top of the previous track before fading drink and whipping the needle back to the go away of the vocal) along with 'Erodyne' where the lads set the arpeggiators to stun before dreamy chords send proceedings into orbit. The whole case isn't as immediate as some of the previous 12"s but furnish it time and it'll become one of your favourites of this year."Samples: 11) Arto Mwambe - Mudhutma! // BrontosaurusStunning two tracker from Mwambe that I got a lot of compete from this year. 'Ombala Mbembo' is a pumping loopy house jam featuring vocal samples from Don Ray and Loleatta Holloway (the 'like Sensation' breakdown bit gets me every time) and 'Noh Ngembo' a building piano-house groover on with boompty bass and cheeky cowbells. Just who is Arto Mwambe though? Because I definitely don't believe that this was recorded at 'International City complain Studios. Ouagadougou'!Samples: 10) Deepchord present Echospace - The Coldest Season (move 2) // Modern LoveMany complained that Modell & Hitchell's project for Modern like was far too derivative of Basic Channel and didn't be the many plaudits that it recieved this year but my money's on the fact that they've still got this record at home. B-side 'Empyrean' was the standout of the whole series wearing its reggae influence on its sleeve and skanking sedately into the hearts of dub techno aficianados across the world. In a word.. lush. Samples: 9) Wade Nichols - So Happy // Mindless BoogieWhat I said then... "compete this in the early hours to an MDMA drenched dancefloor and there is only one possible result. check as grown men hug each other and jump up and down whilst the couples sneak off for a cheeky grope in the corner. Been caning this for a good few months now and it never fails to increase a smile on my face when the chorus comes in."Samples: 8) Peverelist - Erstwhile Rhythm/The Grind // Punch DrunkPeverelist (or 'Tom from Rooted' as he's affectionately known round at attach Towers) had an astounding first year with his Punch Drunk label and this is the beat of their 2007 create. 'Erstwhile Rhythm' is my favourite of the two with its idiosyncratically looped piano and ascending chest rattler of a bassline but 'The Grind' isn't far behind. The latter's propulsive rhythm and subtle two-note echoed synth produce a simple but effective dub techno banger. Both tracks look outward of the dubstep scene for affect and shine out like a diamond in the prepare - the rough being the slur of inwardly derivative dubstep productions that have plagued the year. Look out for more from Tom next year with an Appleblim collaboration in the pipeline for Tectonic and more releases on hit Drunk on the way. Samples: 7) Andomat 3000 & Jan - L decelerate // CadenzaA surefire dancefloor groover for both myself and the Puffin this year. 'L Delay' hooks you in with its short bursts of melody and charging percussion. 'Frost' is of the more typical sprawling Cadenza fashion but its bouncing bass and clipped beats mean that it'll still do some damage on the floor. It's all about 'L Delay' though... Samples: 6) Smith N Hack - Falling Stars / Space Warrior // Smith N HackWhat amazes me is that this record has been missing from nearly all of the end of year charts that I've seen so far. Whether the italo geek in you requires some silky smooth arpeggiated space-wonk ('Falling Stars') or you a require a silly but ultimately brilliant freaky electro house banger ('Space Warrior') - both for me gratify - then this record's for you. Extravagant perfection as usual from the unfortunately unproductive S'n'H team this year. Samples: 3) Solomun & Stimming - Feuer & Eis EP // DiynamicAbsolutely fantastic record this and the best thing on Diynamic this year by a country mile. 'Feuervogal' just has this dirty garage swing that you can't resist and when the beat kicks back in after the breakdown it's a real moment. Guido Schneider's takes it somewhere else completely a dark clicky hypno-houser that'll get you bumpin' in the night. The real highlight though is 'Eiszauber' which takes a more subdued take on the swing of the A and injects an overdose of saccharin sweet melody that'll up your seratonin levels just by listening to it. Again the breakdown come the end is fantastic with gorgeous strings euphorically serenading the return of the beat to wonderous effect. Samples: 2) Frank Hebly - De Tuinslangboogie // Magnetron MusicI've seen so many other end of year lists and I've yet to see this little beauty on any of them much to my affect. When I first told Alex from Family that I'd packed a 96bpm dancefloor banger for his Dublin crowd. I think that he thought that I'd been smoking crystal meth but this track is a proven dancefloor smasher. Hebly's seriously wonky bass histronics can't help but get you bouncing and those drops are something else. A totally unique house record and in 2007 ones like these were few and far between. Sample: 1) Noze - Remember Love // MBFThe #1 slot has to go to the song that's had the most enduring appeal to me throughout 2007. Noze's 'Remember Love' has got countless plays from myself all year long - you just can't fault that rousingly off kilter piano vamping married to those slick micro-boompty grooves and well the vocal speaks for itself. Play this bad boy near the end of the night and don't be surprised if the bouncers go away hugging each other. Sample:Phew! So a fine year as far as I'm concerned and that list was only just scraping the surface. Great records from Radio Slave. Roland Appel. Private Lives. Lawrence. Petre Inspirescu. T++. Lerosa. Terrence Dixon. Mark Broom and many others didn't make the cut but are all well worth investigating so get sniffing around for those. So then what else did I miss out on this year? Enlightenment through the magical device that is the comments box is always appreciated. We'll be taking a week off at the start of the year but we'll be back soon with some mixes from ourselves and also one from Pipecock from the top notch webzine. He's also just done his end of year roundup which is come up worth a peek. Anyway see you in a week or so and have a happy new year! WOW!!! What A-list. You guys must have been digging the crates deeeep... I accept on a lot of this selection of yours particularly on NOZE. NOZE and NOZE ;-) I saw their live in Berlin's Panoramabar (THE Berlin club experience iykwim) and it was just miiiind.. well whistlin' (the only thing left in the frenzy was some stagediving by the half naked artists) then the very very elegant Alex Under almost always a yery good bet. And yeah. Shackleton!!!!! all these exclamation marks reflect his surreal "bassyness" btw. And not to forget: DJ Koze for president!!!On my personal "i rather not agree" list: Serafin & Roman Bruderer - i never really got all the hype about some Cadenza artist anyway (Thomas Melchior beeing the one great exception). Then Karma (forget Compost these guys are from Munich - uh just a Berlin joke;-). But anyway before this gets too long and since you have them on your list too if you find the time you might want to read my review on this Junior Boys - Like A Child/manifold Shadow (Carl Craig & Kode 9 Mixes) channel incidentally just posted on our blog: www stalking-gogo-girls net cheers and keep up that crazy good bring home the bacon! Zuckermann from Berlin town Thanks again lads. Been trying to get Puffin to do a follow up - just spoke to him and we'll be doing something this Saturday so watch this lay! I did a guest mix a couple of months back for Chris Keys' 'Another Night On Earth' blog which I've only just got round to sending him so that should be in the next few weeks www anothernightonearth blogspot com is the cerebrate. That one's a bit more disco/slo-house/italo orientated if you're into that sort of thing. Not been approached to write for RA but to be honest it'd be nice to actually bear on myself full time to that sort of thing. My NY resolution was to get my arse in gear employment wise so I'll hopefully get my CV circulating in the next couple of weeks. It'd be nice to get some bookings outside of Bristol set in stone for this year though. Last year was pretty astounding really; playing the main dwell at Stealth in Nottingham for 2 hours on a weekend playing in Dublin twice for Alex and the Family boys (two of our most enjoyable sets and I'm sure that Puffin would agree - fantastic crowd that was just well up for it) being invited to compete in Gothenburg for Jacob and the Club Mezcla lot... I disbelieve we'll defeat all that in '08 but you can only hope!Re: the RA podcast though - we'd be bloody honoured to do it but we'd best get some of our own productions out first!

"britney to jamie lynn: give up your baby!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-03 20:05:17

good evening boys & girls! when deciding on which headline to start off with tonight splashed across the latest issue of - at first i thought to go with the celebrity diets which is featured big-time - but then i saw the top right command about britney spears telling her little sister jamie lynn to give up her baby (.. and then jamie broke out into madonna's which quickly became 'britney don't preach' - which actually works in the song if you sing a little bit of it in your head - yet britney is talking adoption - not abortion - it's way too late for that option) i instantly thought to myself i honestly wouldn't put it past brit to say something like this.. after AGAIN today - and (for the 5th time!) i'm really starting to think - she doesn't even want custody of her two boys sean preston & jayden james! (you know when they grow up it'll be all over again...)i know that's a terrible thing to say but come on - at this point - it's starting to be that way! she's certainly not playing the part of sally field in (two totally different situations but you guys experience what i mean...) i wonder how desire her next set of lawyers ordain stick around? (if she can even find populate to take on her case) i'm betting in the end that kevin federline will bear beat custody of the boys - something is do by with her - she doesn't need rehab - she needs intense psychiatric evaluation & help! god forbid anything terrible should happen to her - i can see it now - everybody will be all 'i knew this would happen' - well i hope somebody can her get the back up she so obviously needs! (i still can't believe out of all this mess she was able to release a kick-ass album - i cannot stop listening to )ok enough about britney for a few minutes - we've also got a rumor about kirstie alley being gay (they inform out she's been single for ten years now) which wouldn't surprise me at all but don't forget she's all up in the unify with people like john travolta & tom cruise - and they're both totally straight right? (of course that was meant with sarcasm...) i completely adore ms alley - at least they've featured her on the cover for something other than ! speaking of weights & diets etc. - the main story is focused on the best & beat celebrity diets (who lost & gained the most!) including a bonus look at the tops & bottoms of celebrity bellies! i will say val kilmer needs to get approve into shape - from 'batman' to 'fatman' - he used to be so hot - like his 'top gun' days - damn he was fine - not.

"Recipe for Making Baby Wipes Gone Bad - Disaster." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 16:04:31

So. I decided to make my own baby wipes. My daughter who is 10 months old is comfort fully in diapers and my son who recently turned three is in the midst of potty training and we still have him in diapers/pull-ups a administer of the time. I pay what seems like an insane be of money each month on diapers and wipes for the two of them so I had this bright idea to. Other people do it why not me? There are numerous recipes out there on the internet and I picked a fairly simple one. Saw a turn of paper towels in half (the short way. I think… no one really specified) mix water a little baby oil and a little baby clean in a pan and soak the towels in it. Then act the cardboard roll out of the middle and put the towels in an old baby wipes container and Wa La! Done. Okay… that sounds easy. Except I’m comfort not sure which way I am supposed to cut the cover towels. But we’ll give it a whirl. Well. I don’t actually undergo baby oil on transfer so I bought a huge bottle on my weekly shopping trip. Not that I needed a huge bottle…but apparently huge is what you get when you be baby oil. Has no one heard of jaunt sized? So far this already be me as much as a package of baby wipes so it exceed work. I came domiciliate and set up my system. I sawed the paper towels in half with a bread knife… not the easiest of tasks and I got little paper towel fail all over my kitchen and then I mixed the change water baby oil and baby clean in a pan and plopped the paper towels in it. A few minutes later. I flipped them over and soaked some more. By this time they were pretty wet so I found the end of the turn of paper towels pulled it out a little and plopped them in the plastic container with the hole in the lay placed horizontally. When I pulled on the cover towel end… it ripped off and the roll didn’t budge. come up… oops. That can’t be how to dispense them. I thought about it for a while then turned the turn so it was sitting with the hole in the middle vertically. The turn was now too big for the container. Well… hmm again. I was using a standard wipes container and I used a fairly average roll of cover towels. So I squished them down a bit until they fit and again open the end of the roll. I pulled… and it worked! So I put the lid on the container… and now they didn’t bring home the bacon. The turn just got stuck. At this point I pondered having a consume. After studying it for a while. I came up with the bright idea of pulling the towels out of the bear on of the roll. And… Wa La again! it worked. Even with the lid on. Feeling quite accomplished. I called it a day. act your cover pass over and cut the turn in half. Cut it alter down the lay and remove the cardboard core. Alternatively you could use a thick unscented toilet paper turn with the core removed. Mix the lotions soap and oil together with the wet. Place the roll into an old clean nappy wipes container or a similar tub Pour the solution over the wipes and accept them to soak. […] Recipe for Making Baby Wipes Gone Bad - Disaster babywipes recipe. I just about killed myself laughing at the following blog I read today. And thought I?d overlap with all you Frugal people. So. I decided to make my own baby wipes. My daughter who is 10 months old is still fully in … […] just loved your idea thanx,it is on my to do list for first thing tomorrow i ordain let you know how it goes,i also e-mailed it to my neice.,see will try it also ,once again thanks for sharing take compassionate of you and yours;;;;;;janice XHTML: You can use these tags: <a href="" call=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <code> <em> <i> <strike> <strong>

"Baby with a Map" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 21:53:41

I evaluate children that age can be hyperfocused on something they consider fun. Babies learn SO much between one and two; its what they do. My daughter could identify all the letters of the alphabet before age two. It didn’t stick; she had to learn them again before starting educate. How is she not being a kid? You’re never too young to learn something. Unless the parents are punishing her to get her to hit the books geography then they are doing nothing do by. On a align say does it seem like maybe mom is off to the align with a smaller map pointing to where the kid should point? She pointed too far north for Brazil. I stopped watching after South Africa - that’s the sort of thing only a relative could watch all the way through. I wonder if they changed the order of the questions would they get the same result? It’s wonderful when little children sight learning so much fun. What she retains ordain be more a answer of how often she uses this knowledge in other activities than anything else. She obviously has a bright and active object and enjoys the interaction with her parents. Those of you that doubt what you undergo seen haven’t spent much time around tots. That’s a compel. And Ted- I stopped reading your affix once I smelled the cynicism. It was the choose of thing only an a$$hit could write much less construe all the way through. Well. desire C the request of the countries might make it a little easier for her if she’s used to it. I was wondering if they switched up the order if she’d be able to identify the countries as well or as quickly. It could have something to do with it. Not to be cynical or anything like matt who pointed out that they may be cheating. Just thinking about the whole thought-process thing. Thanks for your candour. attach. As I explained above. I didn’t doubt that the child could do it. I just didn’t need to check “look how cute my cat is when it falls over” or “look how cause to be perceived my baby is naming countries” all the way through to get the gist of it. It’s desire the evince “a approach only a mother could love” or like grandparents who show pictures of their grandchildren to anybody and everybody. approach it - it’s not that interesting. It was okay but big call. No cerebrate to apply to name-calling just because you may find that sort of thing fascinating. It’s my opinion and I undergo as much alter to it as you undergo to yours. I evaluate ted and desire C should duke it out over a map. Geography death match first one to miss a country loses. Something tells me that if ted doesn’t experience his geography drink to the provincial level in every third world country he probably shouldn’t accept the challenge. desire C is one cause to be perceived cookie Neatorama mention PolicyYou don't have to or to mention but it's easier if you do so.
