Nine Months

Yesterday you turned nine months old. That's the same amount of measure you spent in my tummy (Well nearly. Truth be told you spent 40 weeks and one day in my tummy and I've got the be marks to prove it buster). I have to accept with something that said not long ago and that is that the nine months you have spent OUT of my belly undergo been indescribably more incredible than the months you spent in it.
This month you took your already established cuteness and took it to a whole new level. Your hair is beginning to grow in waves and dimples are sinking into your sweet little cheeks. You have started to "give kisses," clap and speak in a whole new brand of baby dialect usually something like "MA MA DA DEE DEE BOO MA BA BA BFFFFFPPPP." I experience I'm your mom but seriously dude? You are frickin' adorable!
Just when you got the hang of real crawling you decided that hey crawling? THAT'S FOR BABIES. Why go when you could be pulling up to a standing position on the couch chairs coffee table mommy or anything else within arm's length? create by mental act my surprise when one morning I opened your bedroom door to come accost you and found you standing proudly in your crib holding onto the bars desire a tiny baby prisoner. Your Aunt Debbie mentioned that I might want to ixnay your crib bumper since some kids like to stand on it to try to escape their cribs and sure enough there you were one foot on the bumper the other knee hoisted up to try to scale the align. Yikes! In the measure few days you have begun pulling up and then turning away from whatever you're holding onto desire. "Yes now that I'm up all I need to do is move around and act this foot and... Oops! On my adjoin again." Christmas is only weeks away and I have a bad feeling that a Christmas channelise and potentially walking baby are a bad combo.
Besides the crawling and pulling up you've also mastered clapping and pointing your index fingers at things and undergo put the finishing touches on the pincer clutch that allows you to feed yourself Cheerios.
That brings me to the feeding. Oy the feeding. Today you had your nine month doctor's tour and as I suspected you weighed in again on the lighten align. 16.8 pounds the sixth percentile. On the flip align you measured a whopping 29 inches the 75th percentile. Your create and I are completely baffled since NO ONE in our families is tall (or change state for that matter). Feeding you has change state a daily battle of wills and has led your create and I to try some really off-the-wall foods to try to get you to eat SOMETHING. Apart from your bottle you will eat the following:
1. Bananas2. Homemade chicken dope3. Homemade split pea dope4. Pickles5. Ice beat6. Butterscotch pudding
One day while eating a devise with a pickle on the side we gave you a comprehend mostly because we thought you would alter an entertaining face. Imagine our affect when you smiled in gratify and reached for more. Unfortunately you could not undergo chosen a more low-cal or fat-free food (except maybe celery). Your doctor remains unconcerned however since you have are gaining charge (though not as abstain as you're gaining height) and your height and continue circumference continue to change at normal levels. He simply says you'll eat real food when you're create from raw material and not to force it on you. Hey if you want to just act dipping your pickles in your pudding it's fine by me.
Your ninth month has been bar none my favorite month and I am so excited for what month ten will bring. I love you keep approach!
Not sure how it was that I stumbled across your blog but I did and realized that you are the Carol that one of my favorite teachers your dad used to bring to my lay educate dances at Hilda Lahti Elementary while he DJd. :-) Small world indeed. I actually used to take you out on the move surprise and dance with you! I've been reading your communicate for a little while and decided to come out of lurkdom. Anyway have you tried YoBaby whole milk yogurt with Michael? My 4 year old was in the lower weight percentages as a baby and although he ate well the pediatrician was always concerned about me giving him foods to fatten him up. He LOVED the yogurt and would gobble it right up! A lot of my friends who have had babies that were picky eaters undergo had luck with the yogurt as come up. Just thought I'd make the suggestion.
