We received good news today when I called the ENT surgery scheduling office. Someone had just cancelled for December 6th meaning that there was an open slot to fit in Sophie's surgery a whole month earlier! (Tonsil and adenoid removal along with PE tube placement)And since Sophie is starting another round of antibiotics today for her third ear infection this fall we are so glad to be saying goodbye to these tonsils in just a matter of weeks now! Thank you to all who were praying with us for a cancellation that would allow us to get this taken care of sooner rather than later! We are very thankful that we no longer have to wait until Jan. 3rd! (And even though I know the surgery will not be fun for Sophie. I think it will make SUCH an amazing difference in not only her history of sickness but ALSO in helping her to sleep better with a less obstructed airway!)

Sophie was smiling from ear to ear when the "less worry-prone" parent put Clip in Sophie's baby doll stroller last night. The other parent (who had been trying to avoid this claim thing) was concerned that this become a frequent request or worse be attempted without parental supervision. (This parent is also much less fun!) :)It certainly precious to see Sophie's gratify with her very own baby doll! Clip was a little concerned too...... ... until we assured him that Sophie had LOTS of practice! (aka: five supervised minutes with three and a half-month-old Ella)By the way. I wish you all are appreciating that Ella being an entire month older than Clip in this conceive of still looks tiny and petite compared to our little Jabba. Isn't it darling the way Ella is folding her hands? Oh that is really cute! I also like seeing Aiden in the background in mis-matched jammies. I'm glad we aren't the only ones who grab whatever is alter! :-)That's great news about Sophie's surgery re-schedule! We'll be praying far an easy time and quick recovery. Hopefully she will be in tip top shape in time for Christmas! The pictures of cut in the stroller remind me of when my agree sisters were babies. My other sister and I had a lot of fun dressing them up in our doll clothes and pushing them around in our strollers. What little girl doesn't like having a LIVE doll?? I don't remember having any accidents and I think they've turned out okay so no worries. Annie. =)

I'm one week old and I measure 7 lbs. 9 oz. (or at least I did on Thursday.... I think I've gained even more since then because I'm not quite so wrinkly and Mommy has more dwell to kiss on my cheeks!) It's hard work -- all this growing and eating and gaining weight and going to Doctors appointments! On Tuesday I visited the adulterate for a Bili aim which was fine. By Friday. I hardly looked jaundiced at all. Little newborn frog legs.. but they are gaining SOME chub on them! On Tuesday. I weighed 7lbs. 1oz and by Thursday I had already gained 8 more ounces... so they won't be skinny legs for long! I'm trying to catch up to my brother and sister although they are making it rather hard for me since Aiden had already gained 2 pounds from his discharge charge by his one week appointment and Sophie had gained 1 pound and 1 ounce! (But they DID both go away out almost a pound bigger than me!) It kills me that he is the cutest thing and I can't hold him. But it sounds like he is getting some good loving from all of ya'll. We desire you and love you all. Clip is.. in all honesty.. the most HANDSOME baby boy I have ever seen. He doesn't look like a typical baby to me. I conclude desire I can see in him now exactly how he will be when he's all grown up - that's not true of very many babies! I am so so excited for you guys and lookforward to blog-stalking the Hathaway family from afar.-molly snyder

Well since I took you up to the moment we left the house. I thought I'd act on with the story (this time with pictures so its more fun!)Here I am as we're about to walk out the door to go the midwives office (adjacent to the hospital.) I'm trying to keep smiling as another contraction is starting. Although I was in a good deal of hurt on our 45 minute ride. I really didn't evaluate the contractions were too terrible. When we arrived at the office at 11:40 nobody thought I was really in fight (based on the way I was acting and carrying myself) so everyone kindof freaked out when she checked me and told me I was 7 cm!!! I was so proud of myself! You should have seen me grinning from ear to ear THEN!So they immediately wheeled me over to the hospital (I had to act climbing out of the wheelchair to sit for contractionswhich were now about every 5 minutes apart.) Nobody could believe how come up I was doing. I just kept thanking God for giving me 4 minutes in between the contrations to recoop. By the measure we got to the labor and delivery surprise to analyse in it was 12:20 and by 1:30pm they had put in my IV and I was squatting through incredibly painful contractions every 90 seconds to 2 minutes lasting 1 minute. I started to feel like I was going to throw up which was my cue to label for an epidural! (I had considered trying to go natural as I was probably up to 8 cm at that inform... but throwing up AND contractions are just too much for me to handle).. so thankfully by 2pm. I had my edpidural and I was happy............. for about 2o minutes until I started feeling a LOT of compel and then a LOT of pain again. I told them I was suddenly hurting A LOT again and that I entangle desire I wanted to displace (which was new for me since with Aiden's epidural. I couldn't feel A THING!!!!) change surface though I was in SO MUCH hurt. I wanted to displace so I had to start actually Lamaze-breathing through my contractions to get through the pain and to act until I could start pushing! (It was good that I had some epidural coverage and was able to hold off on pushing... as a result I didn't disunite at all! What a Miracle!!!) As soon as the midwife came to analyse me she said the baby was right there and told me to go away pushing. We started pushing at 2:40pm and after about 4 rounds of pushing at 2:51pm a beautiful baby boy was born! Here's two good shots (above and below) of his coloring and his hair. He has much less hair than our other two did... and it is a different color than both. Aiden's was an auburn color and Sophie's was a bright red. Clip's looks desire little blond fuzz. (Much like his Uncle Daniel had when he was born!)

a HATHAWAY. (known by our St. Louis doctors as abstain growers!!) :)At my doctor's appointment on Friday (my 2 week well check-up) I weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. That's 18 ounces in 7 days! All of my new nurses and doctors were blown away by how much I had grown already change surface though my Mom tried to explain to them that I haven't gained as much or as quickly as my two older siblings! I did get a slow go away but I'm catching up quickly! They measured me at 22 inches which means that I grew almost two inches in two weeks?!?!?Mommy thinks I will probably "mysteriously" decrease by my next appointment! :) (You experience how those length measurements are not the most accurate! My weight and continue Circumference were both in the 50th percentile so my 95th percentile height measurement is reasonably questionable...)Is anyone else worried that this bothersome heap amaze has not fallen off yet?! My mommy is DYING to give me a clean!!! A million different looks in one baby in a span of about 5 seconds: This one below looks SOOOO "Hathaway" to me!analyse to my other displace picture in this furnish to see how much I've filled out in the last week! :)
